Lonely hair dances
in a serene rhythm
middle finger searches
for anonymity hidden
in spasmodic breaths
of moist air under
your bed sheet and the cricket
insists to mimic your sounds
comparing them to that foggy light
that stays trapped quite erotically
between your legs and you said—
touch me now touch me here
where my blood shivers by delight

What you would given up
for a drop of moist
on your parched lips
leaden with Sirocco’s dust
attacking from the southern lands
bringing sweat and thirst
to your flagstone’s embrace
and the balcony where you sit
begging the little cloud for
a retrieve as he passes through
the balcony door carrying a crystal
glass of water with a spoonful of vanilla
floating in it like a proud eagle
and he smiles for your wish to get rid
of this heat of day and for the wind
that swirls like a persistent spoiled phantasm

Clipped wings flight hovering
in our lonely thoughts
of the postponement abyss

Pass me the napkin—you said
and you wiped the ketchup
from the edge of your lips
attentively and with soft courage
against the breeze that listened
carefully to your wish for
a new adventure to come from the void
and enter your world via your wide open mind
and we crawled handcuffed in our routine
as I refilled my wine glass in the senselessness
of my serene self absorption
