emptying its contents
drunken night

spent trying to put to sleep
first of the month instincts and aches

before you piss away
this month’s paycheck

in three or maybe four
uninterrupted nights of stupor

as though expecting Hades
to finally come and erase you

and your agony from
this gold-decorated world

να προσπαθείς ν’ αποκοιμήσεις
ένστικτα και πρωτομηνιάς πόνο

προτού πιεις του μήνα τούτου
το μισθό σε τρεις ή τέσσερις

νύχτες αδιάκοπης μέθης
μην κι έρθει τελικά ο Χάρος

κι αφαιρέσει εσένα
και το μαρτύριο σου
απ’ τον καλόπλουτο τούτο κόσμο
