Λίγο ἀκόμα
θὰ ἰδοῦμε τὶς ἀμυγδαλιὲς ν᾿ ἀνθίζουν
τὰ μάρμαρα νὰ λάμπουν στὸν ἥλιο
τὴ θάλασσα νὰ κυματίζει
λίγο ἀκόμα,
νὰ σηκωθοῦμε λίγο ψηλότερα.

we shall see the almond trees blossoming

the marbles shining in the sun

the sea full of waves

a little bit longer

and we shall rise a little higher.

ΕΛΛΑΣ

Η ανασκαφή διεξάγεται από ομάδα του Πανεπιστημίου Gothenburg.

Το Τμήμα Αρχαιοτήτων Κύπρου ανακοίνωσε τη λήξη της ανασκαφικής περιόδου Μαΐου-Ιουνίου 2022, στη θέση Δρομολαξιά-Βυζακιά/Χαλά Σουλτάν Τεκκέ. Η ανασκαφή στην πόλη-λιμάνι της Ύστερης Εποχής του Χαλκού διεξάγεται από ομάδα του Πανεπιστημίου Gothenburg της Σουηδίας, υπό τη διεύθυνση του καθηγητή Peter M. Fischer. Αυτή η πόλη της Ύστερης Εποχής του Χαλκού, η οποία άνθησε μεταξύ περίπου 1630-1150 π.Χ., βρίσκεται στην ακτή της Αλυκής Λάρνακας, πλησίον του τεμένους Χαλά Σουλτάν, σε μικρή απόσταση από τον Διεθνή Αερολιμένα Λάρνακας.

Chapter 2 Verse 11

TRANSLATION

The Blessed Lord said: While speaking learned words, you are mourning for what is not worthy of grief. Those who are wise lament neither for the living nor the dead.

PURPORT

The Lord at once took the position of the teacher and chastised the student, calling him, indirectly, a fool. The Lord said, you are talking like a learned man, but you do not know that one who is learned—one who knows what is body and what is soul—does not lament for any stage of the body, neither in the living nor in the dead condition.
