Insistenţă

O mamă se plânge de sfârşitul
care o atacă impetuos
iar tu scrii poezioare
despre copaci şi păsărele
chiar dacă nimeni nu le citeşte
numai când vântul se opreşte din suflat
şi din curiozitate se apropie de ele
să le ducă dincolo
unde până şi morţii
sunt oratori de poezii

iar tu ai rostit –

va trebui să-ncerc din nou
să transform cântecul greierelui
într-un tremurat

Επιμονή

Μια μάνα μοιρολογά για το τέλος
που ακάθεκτο επιτίθεται
και συ γράφεις τα ποιηματάκια
για τα πουλιά και τα δεντρά
έστω κι αν δεν πρόκειται κανείς
τα διαβάσει εχτός πια
κι αν ο αγέρας σταματήσει να φυσά
και περίεργα τα πλησιάσει
να τα δει και σαν τον κλέφτη
να τα πάρει στην αντιπέρα όχθη
εκεί που μέχρι κι οι νεκροί
ποιήματα διαβάζουν φωναχτά

κι είπες—

ξανά θα δοκιμάσω τη φωνή
του τριζονιού να μετατρέψω
σε ανατρίχιασμα

Insistence

A mother laments for the end
that attacks impetuously
and you write your little poems
about the little trees and the chickadees
even if no one ever reads them
unless the wind stops blowing
and curiously comes near them
to take them to the opposite side
where even the dead orate poems

and you said—

again I shall try to transform
the cricket’s song
into a shiver
